Cancellation Policy
At Southern Paediatrics, we try to assist our families with reminders of appointments via SMS or a follow-up phone call. However, we ask that you take a clear note of your appointment date at the time of making the appointment, as it is your responsibility to manage this and to contact us to make changes if you are no longer able to attend your scheduled time.
We ask that you give our Reception team adequate notice if you are unable to attend your appointment. The clinicians have long waiting lists, and if your appointment is not attended or cancelled at late notice, we are unable to fill the spot. This means that appointment times are lost, which could have been used to help other children and their families. It also means that the doctor loses income for that appointment.
For appointments cancelled within 24hrs, or a non-attendance to a booked appointment, will incur a $100 fee.
Location
We are located at Suite 307, 13A Montgomery St, Kogarah.
The building is next to the police station and above Gee’s Café.
If your appointment is on the weekend please ring the bell by pressing 307, for access into the building.
Parking
Kogarah has limited parking, and mostly timed. We suggest parking at Kogarah Town Centre, above Woolworths , or alternatively at St George Private or the library. Allow extra time for parking.
Referrals
A GP referral is valid for 12 months from the first appointment date. Ongoing a new referral will be required every 12 months from this date. A Specialist referral is valid for 3 months and also requires ongoing valid referrals for ongoing appointments.
Confirmation of Appointments
You will be sent an SMS reminder 1-2 weeks prior to your appointment. Could you please respond with a Y or N response? Any appointments cancelled within 24 hours will be charged a $100 cancellation fee, as will a non-attendance to an appointment.
